The name of the blog Muuttolintu means ‘migratory bird’ – because like birds, we fly somewhere warm when winter comes and return home for summer.

On our travels we love secluded tropical beaches, unique accommodations, infinity pools, road trips, over-water bungalows, hotels with views, epic hikes, fresh coconuts and champagne, street food as well as seven-course tasting menus.

Our travels have also made us appreciate the incredible planet we live on more than ever. Responsible travel, authentic cultural experiences and respect for nature will always stay close to our hearts.

Behind The Blog

Anna and Rohan are a Finnish-Australian married couple on a never-ending honeymoon, working as digital nomads somewhere underneath a palm tree. Anna has a background in marketing and a passion for travel writing, with 10+ years of experience in the blog scene. Rohan works as a software developer and a travel photographer. We like to call ourselves professional palm tree enthusiasts!
